• The Society of Progressive Students (SOPS) was established in 2024 as an independent organization dedicated to fostering education and social equity. The words “Progressive” and “Students” are inspired by the renowned PDSU group, founded in 1972 by the visionary student leader and social activist George Reddy. His unwavering commitment to justice and empowerment continues to guide SOPS in its mission to create meaningful change in society.
